Camarillo – The Ventura County Young Republicans held their biennial elections meeting on January 25th and unanimously elected Chairman Matthew Hewitt to his third consecutive term.  Other officers elected include Vice-Chairman Darin Henry, Treasurer Chris Collier, Secretary Claira Guerra, Membership Director Adam Haverstock and Political Director Rachel Culbert.

Chairman Matthew Hewitt had the following remarks, “I am proud to have the unanimous support of the Ventura County Young Republicans.  I will not take this endorsement lightly and will work to elect local Republicans to office, from our Presidential Nominee all the way down to School Board and City Council.”

The Ventura County Young Republicans (VCYR) is the conservative voice of young Republicans in Ventura County.  Membership is open to all registered Republicans under the age of 40 who live, work or attend school in Ventura County.  Activities include regular meetings, social and philanthropic events.  The club also helps local candidates in their campaigns to elective office.
